Homemade Kettle Corn and Rosé
Once you see how easily you can make this classic treat you will never buy it pre-made again! This recipe has become a movie night staple in my home. A fruity Oregon rosé is a perfect pairing to the sweet and salty kettle corn. But don’t take my word for it…give it a try!
Kettle Corn
¼ cup canola or coconut oil
¼ cup sugar
½ cup popcorn kernels
Pink Himalayan salt to taste
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Stir in sugar once oil is hot.
Pour in popcorn kernels and cover.
Put on oven mitts and shake continually as the kernels begin to pop. Hold the lid tightly and toss the kernels around to coat them in oil.
Once the popping slows almost to a stop remove your pot from the heat immediately and dump the popcorn into a large serving bowl (otherwise sugar will begin to burn and taste bitter).
Sprinkle with salt and enjoy!
